Celebrating Female Artists
As we celebrate the International Women’s Day on the 8th of March, it’s time to shine a spotlight on some of the female artists around the world. Do you know any famous female artists? How about Françoise Pétrovitch or Yayoi Kusama, maybe even Barbara Kruger? They are all female artists that are pretty well known for their work, whether it’s painting, sculptures, collages and even photography.
There is also a local female artist who is pretty known for her work, considering that she did an exhibition in Belgrade. Her name is Ivana Nasteski and not only is she an artist – she works as an art teacher in many schools in Tetovo. She was interviewed for the Women’s magazine.

Let’s not forget the male artists around the world. We have Refik Anadol – who is known for using AI-based art to create visualizations, Henry Taylor who’s known for portraits of everyday people and family. And Tomoo Gokita, who is a Japanese artist best known for his monochrome abstract figurative paintings and prints.
So what do you think? Do you like how artists think and create, regardless of whether they’re female or male? And would you ever be interested in these kinds of things, if you already aren’t?
