Games. The youth today plays a lot of different games (mostly non-educacional and just

for waste of time). Many teenagers play games on their computers or other technological gadgets, and completely forget that paper or spoken games exist.

With this article, I want to show you some interesting + educational games that can be played digitally or on paper.

Word games are generally used as a source of entertainment, but can additionally serve an educational purpose. Young children can enjoy playing games, while naturally developing important language skills like spelling.

Playing word games can be a great way to:

  • Develop your vocabulary
  • Help you think more deeply about words
  • Become more fluent in English (if it’s a foreign language for you)
  • It encourages the competitive spirit in you

There are some categories of word games:

●      Pen and Paper word games like:

  1. Hangman (great game for developing spelling and vocabulary),
  2. Crosswords (great if you want to learn new words and definitions),
  3. Word searches (good way to get used to letter patterns and to improve spelling).Board and Dice games such as:
  1. Scrabble (good one for developing vocabulary),
  2. Boggle (good for developing handwriting),
  3. Dabble (great way to develop both spelling and vocabulary, and to have fun with words),Words games on the phone, for example: Daily Mini games and Puzzles like:
  1. Spelling Bee (developing spelling),
  2. Wordle (developing vocabulary),
  3. Connections (developing logic),
  4. Sudoku (developing brain skills),
  5. Globle (developing geography knowledge),
  6. Nerdle (developing mathematical skills).

The word games are a fantastic example for fully describing the quote, “Learning Can Be Fun”.
