Where Fashion Meets Fantasy : Victoria’s Secret 2025
Victoria’s Secret is an American lingerie, clothing and beauty retailer. It was founded in 1977 by Stanford graduate student Roy Raymond and his wife Gaye. Years later, in 1995, Victoria’s Secret made its very first fashion show. That wasn’t like a normal runway, it was a full performance with music, special themes, etc. The one thing that made this show special and popular were the angel wings that the models were wearing.
As the years passed by, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show became one of most famous events in the world with the most popular models walking on the long runway.
Every year the show has a different theme which makes the internet go crazy being impatient to see the models in their new outfits and wings.

This year’s show was on October 15, 2025. The show took place in New York, and the people were really excited. This year, the show wasn’t like the others, instead of just showing models with the same body type, this year they focused on body diversity and confidence including plus size models. Like always, the runway was full of glitter, bright lights and, of course, the big angel wings. The Victoria’s Secret models walked the runway full of confidence wearing outfits and wings inspired by fantasy themes. Each model was different and special in one way or another Some of the most popular models are:
Adriana Lima, Alessanda Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel, Bella Hadid, Gigi Hadid, Gisele Bündchen and more, which are also the internet’s favorites. What makes every show special is that every year the show performs a different lineup of performers while the models are walking, making the show also feel like a concert. On this year’s show the lineup was: Madison Beer, TWICE, Missy Elliot and Karol G.
However, not everything about the show is perfect. A lot of people criticize it because they say it promotes unrealistic beauty standards. The beautiful body shapes that the models have are making many young people feel pressured to look the same. Because of this, the show took a break for a few years, so the brand could try and improve. The show made its comeback in 2024 including more plus size models making the show even more iconic.Even though the show had its problems, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is still remembered as a huge event full of models, music and creativity making the people all over the world wait every year for the runway to see the new outfits and wings.
