 The 19th of November Celebration in Tetovo

Every year on the 19th of November, Tetovo comes alive with a sense of pride and gratitude. This date marks the town’s liberation during World War II in 1944, a moment that changed its history forever. It’s a day to reflect on the sacrifices made for freedom and to celebrate the spirit of unity that defines Tetovo.

On this day, there is also a celebration of the 80th anniversary since the liberation of Tetovo. On this day there are many events about the holiday like:

  • The fresh flower laying ceremony
  • Memorial of the revolution
  • March of the reserved officers
  • Awarding commendations and awards to schools and more!

 

 

 

There is also a ceremony to award the most prominent citizens in the city Tetovo. The award that is won is the award “19th November”. Some of the award winners are:

  • Kocho Tuleski – the highest city recognition achievement in the field of social development;
  • Primarius Dr Dragan Filipović – the highest city recognition in the field of medicine;
  • Krste Serafimovski – the highest city award in the field of sports;
  • Ladomir Saveski – the highest city recognition in the field of theatrical arts;
  • Vladimir Kočoski – the highest city recognition in the field of culture;
  • Ibush Ibrahimovski – the highest city recognition in the field of musical arts;
