As Halloween creeps closer, this season offers plenty of thrilling and spooky films and shows that will keep you entertained during this scary time.
If you want to watch spooky stuff this Halloween here are some horror films and TV shows coming out in October 2024 that I think you will like:
- Salem’s Lot (Oct 3) – This Stephen King classic gets a modern remake. It tells the story of a group in a small town fighting against a vampire presence. It’s a supernatural horror blended with psychological thrills making it a perfect movie for fans of this genre.
- Terrifier 3 (Oct 11) – When the survivors thought they were free and tried to move on with their lives, Art the clown comes back to terrorize them again but this time during Christmas. This movie is packed with scary and violent scenes, as Art continues to get worse.
- Smile 2 (Oct 18) – It’s a psychological horror in which the characters face their own fears and inner demons, but at the same time fight against a horrifying force that haunts them. It is promised to keep you on the edge of your seat.
- The Menendez Brothers (Sep 19) – It is an already released series, but I had to include it as this case revolves around Lyle and Erik Menendez who murdered their abusive parents back in 1989. This limited series raised questions about abuse, wealth and family relationships.
- Sam and Colby: The Legends of the Paranormal (Oct 3) – Youtubers Sam and Colby in this documentary visit haunted locations while mixing ghost, supernatural cases and spine-chilling stories. If you’re a fan of their Youtube channel this is definitely one to check out.
And for the ones that do not like the horror genre but would still like to watch something during this cozy season, here are some shows and movies you may like:
