Summer 2022 in Tetovo

Last summer, several cultural and sports events took place in our city of Tetovo. They contributed to making life in the city, which residents often describe as boring, become a little more fun during the summer.

This summer in Tetovo, the beekeepers’ associations organized the fourth consecutive international competition for honey quality.

On June 26, an international chess tournament was organized in Tetovo. The tournament was held in the town square. Competitors from Macedonia, Albania and Kosovo participated in the tournament. The goal was to bring people together, to engage in good and useful work and to create the will to open other ways of cooperation.

During the month of July, in the Tetovo square and at a location by the river Pena, several events were held as part of the “Tetovo cultural summer”. Several groups and bands performed. The organization was by the local self-government.

On July 2, one of the most famous singers in Macedonia, Vlatko Lozanovski, gave a concert in Tetovo after a three-year break. For the first time, the residents of Tetovo had the opportunity to hear his new hit live, as well as other big hits.

On August 8, the singer Vlado Janevski performed in the park “Zhena Park” in Tetovo

On August 10, the singer Lambe Alabakovski also performed in the park “Zhena Park” in Tetovo, in the organization of the “I love Tetovo” initiative. The concert was open-air and free, and citizens had the opportunity to donate funds to families in need.

On August 11, at the same place in the organization of the “I love Tetovo” initiative, the duo Next Time performed. It was free and citizens could donate funds to endangered families.

Other events happened and took place, but I singled out these as the most interesting.
